im gonna be moving into a new place at the end of the month, and was very excited till i thought about my reef tank (55 gallon with 30 gallon sump/fuge, 4 fish, 4 shrimp, 4 anemones, mixed beginner coral, crabs and snails).....has anybody here done this?? iv got the just of it,but would like to hear from someone that has done it before.

put all fish in buckets
put all rocks in buckets
put all coral in buckets
leave the sand in the tank, but covered with water and do not stir it up..
ill have 55 gallons of pre mixed saltwater waiting at the new house ahead of time.

bring it all to the new place and reverse the process..

but i am told i can set up the tank with new sand and not worry about the old stuff, but is that true? i can just set up with new sand and everything will be ok??

and if i use new sand, should i use as much old water as possible? sorry i just cant put 2 and 2 together and figure this out.. any info would be great... thank you ahead of time
